At LULA Women's Helpline, we are dedicated to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including individuals with disabilities. We strive to meet and exceed the accessibility standards to create an inclusive online environment.

Accessibility Statement

LULA Women's Helpline is committed to providing an inclusive, welcoming, and accessible environment for all women seeking emotional support.

Our services are delivered through an online chat platform namely TAWK, allowing women to connect with trained volunteers in a private and supportive space. We recognize that chat-based communication can offer greater accessibility for individuals who are Deaf, hard of hearing, have speech-related disabilities, experience social anxiety, or simply prefer written communication.

LULA Women's Helpline also provides support for indviduals who are blind, and who have low vision through our "Listen to Page" (text-to-speech) feature that enables visitors to have webpage content read aloud without requiring additional software or browser extensions. This functionality supports individuals who are blind or have low vision, experience reading or learning disabilities, have cognitive or neurological differences, or simply prefer accessing information through audio.

By incorporating accessibility features directly into our website, we aim to reduce barriers to information and help ensure that emotional support and resources are accessible to as many people as possible.

We are committed to treating every individual with dignity, respect, and compassion. LULA Women's Helpline strives to identify and remove barriers to accessibility and to provide services that are responsive to the diverse needs of the communities we serve.

In accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA), we are committed to promoting accessibility and inclusion in our programs, services, and communications.

If you experience difficulty accessing our website or services, or if you have suggestions for improving accessibility, we encourage you to contact us. Your feedback helps us create a more accessible and supportive experience for everyone.

At LULA Women's Helpline, we believe every woman deserves to feel heard, supported, and valued.
